    3 days/3 nights (90 miles) $475/person
    (bike not included)

This is a cyclo-cross dream with a day on the road and two on the dirt. This self-guided bike trip includes food and drinks, two nights in our cozy new huts, one night at the exclusive Gateway Canyons Resort (double occupancy) with meals included, and free shuttle service back to Fruita.

This trip begins at 7 a.m. in Fruita with an orientation and safety meeting. You'll depart from downtown Fruita and begin the adventure with an epic road climb through the Colorado National Monument. The scenic journey through the weather-carved rock monuments is awe-inspiring and the first of many incredible photo opportunities. Continue west on the rolling mesa towards Utah before parking your bike at the Little D Hut on the stony, southern edge of the Black Ridge Wilderness Area. It’s a secluded, relaxing location where you'll soak in the surroundings and re-energize for the next two days of demanding mountain biking.

You'll leave the smoothness of the road on day 2 at the Utah border when you cross into the remote Dolores Triangle. The DT is a rugged landscape comprised of rocky double track trails along deep canyons and steep cliffs with long views of the slick rock canyons draining into the Colorado River. After rolling through a beautiful day you'll rest at the secluded DT Hut. Panoramic views of the Book Cliffs, the LaSals and the Uncompahgre Plateau protect you from all things civilized for the night.

Day three will test you as you drop into the remote region called Granite Creek Canyon. It's a single track day on a rough trail that crosses a year round creek several times as you climb towards the precipice of the Gateway Canyon and the view of a lifetime. You'll earn it but it will be that much sweeter. The trail down is tricky with sharp switchbacks and rocky terrain. After a six mile descent you'll cruise the final few miles on a rolling jeep trail along the Dolores River to the secluded Gateway Canyons Resort where you'll spend a luxurious night and get your second wind.

Enjoy the next day at Gateway Canyons. Take advantage of the new single track loop trails or spend a lazy day floating the Dolores River.
A free shuttle will take you back to Fruita at 4 p.m. This is a challenging cyclo-cross adventure that covers approximately 90 miles in three days. It includes rough ATV trails, double track, dirt roads, steep climbs and pavement which provides an amazing Colorado biking experience.
